11+ years of weddings, and the kindest words still come from our happy couples. Here are a few of them, in the words our couples used.

Everyone is gaga over the wedding film. Each minute is like a movie. Awesome work you guys, we all loved it, and you are now our family photographers, so be available for the weddings of all my brother and Rahul’s sister. The love and effort you put into it made my wedding film a really beautiful movie.

So far we have watched it like a 100 times already! Thank you for making such a beautiful video. We are dying selecting photos. Every picture is just so good.

Amrita

I’ll be honest, out of the other Kolkata videographers, your company is probably the best one. But yeah, thanks a lot for everything.

Rishav, amazing clicks. Thanks for making this moment so beautiful.

The photographs have come out really well. Thanks to you and your team for your continuous support, and for turning our event into a beautiful memory.

Just wanted to tell you a huge thank you! I know our business is not done yet, but you have been such an integral part of my wedding that today, as I am sending out thank you messages to everyone, I can’t help but include you. You guys feel like family now.

Truly honoured that you took up my wedding on such short notice. I’m supremely excited for the results of your and your team’s hard work. Thank you Prince, from the bottom of my heart.

Also, each and every relative and friend at my wedding has told me, “What a nice boy Prince is, and how dedicated! He’ll go very far.” I cannot agree more. Amazing choice of music. I cried watching it. You have made it look so polished and dreamy. I love it!

It's time to tell

Your Story

Tell us your date, your venue and a little about your families. We will check our Kolkata calendar and plan your wedding photography together.

Wedding photographers in Kolkata, for every ritual.

Candid wedding photography and cinematic films for Bengali, Marwari and cross-cultural weddings, by one Kolkata team.

Piixonova is a team of wedding photographers in Kolkata, based in Bidhannagar (Salt Lake). Since 2015 we have photographed and filmed 200+ weddings, from family homes to Kolkata’s grand hotels and banquets.

We know each ritual and when it happens: aiburobhat, gaye holud, subho drishti, sindoor daan and bou bhaat at Bengali weddings; haldi, mehendi, sangeet and phere at Marwari weddings. You get candid photos, a cinematic wedding film and an album, from one team.

Every wedding is quoted personally. Share your date and venue, meet us in Kolkata or on a call, and we plan your coverage together.

  1. Do you cover weddings across Kolkata, from Salt Lake and New Town to South Kolkata?

Yes. We are based in Bidhannagar and photograph weddings all over Kolkata, including Salt Lake, New Town, Rajarhat, central Kolkata and South Kolkata, at family homes, hotels and banquet halls.

  2. Can we meet you before we book?

Yes. Every booking starts with a consultation, in person in Kolkata or on a call, where we understand your wedding and share your quote.

  3. Do you do both wedding photography and films?

Yes. Candid photography and cinematic wedding films are done by one team, so your photos and film tell the same story.

  4. Can you cover both the bride’s and the groom’s side?

Yes, if you would like it. At Bengali weddings the morning rituals often happen in two homes at the same time, so we can plan the team to cover both families, then bring everyone together at the venue in the evening.

  5. Is your wedding photography candid or posed?

Mostly candid. We follow the day as it happens and step in only for a few portraits of the two of you and your families, so the photos look like your wedding, not a photo shoot.

  6. What do we receive after the wedding?

Your edited photos in a private gallery on the Piixonova app within 4 to 8 weeks, your wedding film, and a Canvera photobook if you choose one. Drone and 360° coverage can be added to the day.

  7. Do you offer a same-day edit?

Yes. A same-day edit is a short film cut while your wedding is still happening, so it can be played for your families at the reception or shared with everyone the same night. Tell us at the consultation if you would like one, and we plan it into your coverage so the rest of the day is photographed and filmed as usual.

  8. How many photos will we get from our wedding?

We never shoot to a number. We try to capture every moment that matters, so the count depends on how many events, guests and hours your wedding has. As a rough guide, couples receive somewhere between 5,000 and 20,000 photos across all their wedding events, delivered in a private gallery on the Piixonova app.

  9. Do you photograph small or intimate weddings?

Yes. A registry wedding followed by a family dinner, a small ceremony at home or a wedding with only close family gets the same care as a large celebration. The team is planned around your day, so a small wedding gets a small, quiet team that blends in.

  10. Can we book you at short notice?

Yes, if your date is still free. Send us your date and venue and we will tell you straight away whether we can be there, then plan your coverage quickly with you. Sarthoki and Prasant booked us at short notice, and you can read their words in the testimonials above.

Planning your wedding photography in Kolkata.

When to book, when to shoot, and how to choose the right team for your Kolkata wedding.

Most Bengali weddings in Kolkata fall on auspicious dates (lagna) in the cooler months from November to March, with more dates in late spring and early summer. The best dates fill quickly for every team in the city, so fix your wedding photographer as soon as your date is set.

A Kolkata wedding is rarely one day. Aiburobhat, gaye holud, the wedding night, bou bhaat and the reception can run across several days and venues, and Marwari weddings add haldi, mehendi and sangeet. We plan coverage event by event, so the team knows where to be and when.

For a pre-wedding shoot in Kolkata, November to February gives the softest light and the most comfortable weather. In summer we shoot early in the morning or in the last hour before sunset, and in the monsoon we plan around the rain. Sanchari and Aditya’s shoot went ahead on location through Cyclone Dana.

  1. How do we choose a wedding photographer in Kolkata?

Watch at least one complete wedding film and a full gallery, not only highlights. Check that the team knows your rituals, ask who exactly will photograph your wedding, and meet them. The right photographer is the one whose full weddings feel like the wedding you want.

  2. What should we ask a wedding photographer before booking?

Ask who will be on the team, how many weddings they cover on your date, which of your rituals and venues they have photographed, what you receive and when, and how booking works. A good team answers all of this clearly before you decide.

  3. Can you photograph the rituals at our family home?

Yes. Many Kolkata weddings begin at home, with the morning rituals in the family’s own rooms and terraces. We plan those hours as carefully as the venue, because that is often where the most personal photographs happen.

  4. How do we book Piixonova for our wedding?

Booking happens in four steps. First, a consultation, in person in Kolkata or on a call, where we understand your wedding, your families and your rituals. Second, a personal quote for the events you want covered. Third, your date is blocked for you once the advance is paid; until then the date stays open. Fourth, closer to the wedding we plan the coverage with you event by event, from timings to the family members who must be in the photos.

  5. What happens if a photographer falls ill before our wedding?

Someone from our crew of 41+ photographers, cinematographers and filmmakers takes their place. Your wedding is planned with the whole team before the day, so a replacement already knows your events, your timings and your families, and your coverage goes ahead without a gap.

  6. Can we share and print our wedding photos?

Yes. You and your family can print your photos and share them with friends, family and on your personal social media. Piixonova keeps the copyright, so any commercial use, for example by a brand, a vendor, a venue or a publication, needs our written permission first.

  7. Where can we do a pre-wedding shoot in Kolkata?

We have done pre-wedding shoots at most of Kolkata’s high-end resorts, five-star hotels and landmark places. Couples often choose Victoria Memorial, Princep Ghat and the Hooghly riverside, views of Howrah Bridge and Vidyasagar Setu, Kumartuli, College Street, Park Street, the old buildings of Dalhousie, Eco Park and Rabindra Sarobar, and resorts such as Vedic Village, Raajkutir and Ffort Raichak just outside the city. Some heritage sites need permission for a professional shoot, and we help you plan for it.

Wedding photography cost in Kolkata, explained.

What decides the cost, what you can choose, and how to plan it. For your own quote, just ask.

We do not publish prices or fixed packages, because no two Kolkata weddings have the same events, guest list or schedule. Your quote is built from what you actually want covered, and nothing else.

Share your date, venue and events through the form below, on WhatsApp or on a call, and we will send you a personal quote after a short conversation. There is no pressure to decide on the call.

  1. How much does a wedding photographer cost in Kolkata?

It depends on the number of events, the hours, the size of the team, whether you want films as well as photos, and extras such as drone, 360° coverage or a same-day edit. In Kolkata you will find everything from a single photographer to a full photo and film team, so compare what is included, not just the final number. We quote every wedding personally: share your date, venue and events, and we will send your quote.

  2. What is included in your wedding photography packages?

We do not sell fixed packages. Your coverage is built around your events: candid photography, a cinematic wedding film, and options such as a pre-wedding shoot, a Canvera photobook, drone and 360° coverage and a same-day edit. Every wedding includes edited photos in a private gallery on the Piixonova app. Contact us with your events and we will put together a quote for exactly what you need.

  3. What is the difference between budget and premium wedding photography?

Mostly the team, the time and the finish. A premium team brings experienced photographers and cinematographers, enough people to cover rituals that happen at the same time, careful editing of every photo, and a film edited as a story rather than a montage. Before you compare quotes, ask each photographer to show one complete wedding of a similar size. For a quote from us, share your date and events.

  4. How should we budget for wedding photography in Kolkata?

Start with the events you want covered and how much each one matters to you, then decide between photos only or photos and a film. Many couples put the most coverage on the wedding night and the reception and keep smaller events lighter. Plan for the album and any extras from the start. Tell us your priorities and we will suggest coverage and send you a quote.

  5. Do you offer half-day or full-day coverage?

Yes. Coverage is planned event by event, so a registry and dinner or a single ceremony can be a half day, while a wedding day that runs from the morning rituals to sindoor daan is a full day. Multi-day Bengali and Marwari weddings are planned day by day. Share your schedule and we will suggest the right coverage and quote for it.

  6. How do we get the best value from our wedding photography budget?

Put your coverage on the events that matter most, book early so you can choose the team you want, and give us a clear schedule and a list of the family members who must be photographed. Choose what you will actually use: a film you will watch again and again is worth more than extras you will never open. We are happy to plan this with you; ask us for a quote.

  7. Can we negotiate the price?

Our quotes are built from your actual coverage, so the way to change the price is to change the coverage: fewer events, a smaller team, or photos without a film. Tell us your priorities and the range you are comfortable with, and we will suggest what fits. Contact us for your quote.

Questions couples ask us before booking.

Plainly answered, before you press anything.

  1. How does pricing work, and do you have packages?

Every wedding is quoted personally after a short conversation. We do not have fixed packages, and there is no pressure to decide on the call.

  2. How early should we book our wedding photographer?

As early as you can. Our calendar is often booked months, sometimes years, ahead, so write to us as soon as your date is fixed. If your date is closer than that, still ask, and we will tell you personally whether we can be there.

  3. Do you photograph destination weddings and travel outside Kolkata?

Yes. We are based in Bidhannagar, Kolkata, and photograph weddings across India and destination weddings worldwide, including Puri, Jaipur and Goa. Our couples have also taken us to the UAE, the UK and Turkey.

  4. How many photographers and filmmakers will be at our wedding?

Your team is planned around your wedding, from two photographers to a larger crew from our 41+ photographers, cinematographers and filmmakers, so no ritual and no side of the family is missed.

  5. How long does it take to receive our wedding photos?

Your fully edited gallery arrives in 4 to 8 weeks, and you view it privately in the Piixonova app.

  6. Do you make wedding albums?

Yes. Our albums are Canvera photobooks.

  7. Do you offer drone and 360° coverage?

Yes. Aerial drone and 360° coverage can be part of your wedding, alongside photography and films.

  8. Do you cover Bengali, Marwari and other wedding styles?

Yes. We photograph and film Bengali, Marwari and cross-cultural weddings, and we know the rituals, from gaye holud and sindoor daan to haldi, sangeet and phere.

  9. Which Kolkata venues have you photographed?

Most of Kolkata’s premium hotels, banquets and venues, including ITC Royal Bengal, Taj Bengal, The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat, JW Marriott Kolkata and The Oberoi Grand.

  10. Will it feel like us?

Before the day, we talk through your people, your rituals and the moments you can’t lose. Your story is built around that.

  11. We’re awkward in front of a camera.

Most couples are. We don’t direct your day, we follow it — and step in only for a few portraits you’ll be glad you have.
